Be A Voter

November 3rd is right around the corner. There is so much at stake, so today I wanted to spend a moment talking about voting plans.

Creating a voting plan is easy: it is simply committing to how, when, and where you’ll cast your vote. Having a voting plan in place increases voter turnout. In some states, there is still time to register to vote.

Your plan may include using a mail-in ballot. If this is the case, ensure that you return your ballot as early as possible to ensure that it is received and counted. Many states are also offering secure ballot drop-boxes for mail-in voters.

For in-person voters, those in states with early voting should take advantage. Because some states will have fewer polling sites than usual this year, it is also very important to double-check where your polling place is.

However you plan to vote, make sure you follow directions carefully. Already have a voting plan? Encourage your friends and family to create one too. If you’re looking for more to do, phone-banking, text-banking, and postcard-writing are excellent ways to reach other voters.

Your vote matters. Let’s be active participants in democracy. Happy voting!
